Audio Settings

Use the Audio Settings form to control various settings relating to M+O's audio output.
Move the "Tuning" slider to choose the overall pitch the accompaniment will use. This setting will affect the pitch of the audio created by M+O in the future. The pitch level is displayed both as a change in "cents" (there are 100 cents in a semitone or half step), and as the frequency, in Hz or cycles per second, of the corresponding tuning "A." You shouldn't take this latter number too literally: if you make no change to the tuning level, the Audio Settings display calls this A=440 Hz. Whether or not this is 440 Hz in reality depends on the tuning of the original accompaniment recording. However, +2 cents does literally mean that audio is played back 2 cents higher than it was originally recorded.
Use the "Marker Sound" to choose between "Clicks" and "Plucks" for the sound that identified a note onset during Rehearsal Review. Choosing "Plucks" will cause MPO to use a pitched pluck-like sound to mark note onsets, while "Clicks" simply produces a click. Generally the clicks are a little be easier to hear, however if you are not sure that you have a note marker on the correct note the "Plucks" alternative is quite useful since you will get confirmation of the pitch M+O believes is played at the marked location.
If the "Play theme on Startup" check box is checked, M+O will play its theme when the program first starts.
Save your settings and dismiss this form with "Save."
