Choose Driver
When Music + One is launched for the first time, or any time you launch the program after adding or removing audio hardware, the Choose Driver form is displayed, as shown below. The form will show a list of the ASIO-compatible audio hardware that is available to the program, with the additional choice of "Don't use ASIO" for pre-Vista versions of Windows. ASIO is the type of audio driver preferred by M+O (and most serious Windows audio applications). ASIO drivers are available with nearly any external audio hardware, such as a USB or Firewire interface. If you have no such external audio hardware, this list may even be empty, but don't worry in this case, as discussed below.

If one or more choices are presented to you, choose the ASIO-compatible audio hardware you would like M+O to use. Users running versions of Windows prior to Vista will have the additional choice of "Don't use ASIO." If you make choice M+O will run using the traditional audio driver which is always available on pre-Vista computers. However, ASIO is the best kind of audio driver for M+O, so use this if is available.
If there are no ASIO drivers available you can always download ASIO4ALL for free from http://www.asio4all.com/. This driver is reliable and installs in seconds. After installing ASIO4ALL at least one choice will be presented to you in the Choose Driver list. Choose a driver, click "Done" and you are ready to go.
If at any time you want to change your choice of driver you can access the Choose Driver form from M+O's main window by selecting "Set Audio Device" from the "Options" menu.
